Plastic Surgery Recovery Spas
The fantasy of cosmetic plastic surgery is to have some imperfection, some less-than-perfect feature of your face or body, changed without anyone knowing you had surgery. Indeed, the result of many plastic surgeries is that the patient notices a dramatic difference, while most of the patient’s acquaintances do not really notice a difference—the patient just looks better, somehow. In reality, there is a significant amount of bruising and healing that occurs with plastic surgery recovery. Coworkers, friends, and family know that the patient was absent for a while and now has returned with bruises or swelling. The plastic surgery recovery gives the secret away.
There are some options open to patients that want to keep their plastic surgery and recovery a complete secret. It is possible to simply schedule plastic surgery on the first day of a vacation from work. In so doing, the patient’s face or body has a chance to heal for days to weeks before returning to the scrutiny of the world. Many people will even tell coworkers that they are simply taking a restful vacation at home for a certain period of time. Others go so far to say they are having surgery, but do not say what kind. In the former scenario, you are left with the idea of lying to your friends and coworkers, which may not be something you are prepared to do. In the latter situation, some people will undoubtedly ask about your health, stories of cancer and ill health will be created, and soon people will be asking to visit you in the hospital. Both choices are not ideal ways to recover from plastic surgery.
There is another option that allows you to take a real vacation, of sorts, and to have the surgery without raising suspicion or concerns. Some people plan their surgery just like they are planning a vacation. Book a hotel room for the length of your vacation and travel to that destination prior to your surgery. The hotel can be stocked with all of the items that you need for your plastic surgery recovery and, if you forget or need something, most hotels have 24 hour concierge service available. You need not worry about friends dropping by unannounced and your basic needs can be attended to by picking up the phone. Best of all, when you return from your plastic surgery recovery, you can honestly tell people that you travelled somewhere (and you should be healed by then!).
Not surprisingly, there are specific plastic surgery recovery spas that provide everything you need to recover in style and anonymity. These spas are much closer to hotels and resorts than hospitals, yet there are usually nurses available around the clock. The settings are usually beautiful and, as you heal and are more mobile, you can enjoy the local sights. There is an expense associated with these plastic surgery recovery spas but not as much as you might think—certainly not more than some of the more exclusive vacation destinations. For the price, plastic surgery recovery spas offer something very close to the true fantasy of plastic surgery: facial or body modification without anyone knowing you went under the knife!
