You should expect a good deal of swelling and bruising immediately after the procedure. It will not be possible to know the lasting result until the swelling as subsided substantially. Depending on the surgical approach, the implants may take some time to “drop” or lower into the place on the chest that they will permanently rest. This process will occur during the healing process. The surgeon will attempt to provide symmetry and the desired size during the procedure. The vast majority of cases result in the a favorable outcome.
