The number of breast lift procedures has grown exponentially over the past 20 years. In 1992 there were fewer than 8,000 mastopexy procedures performed. In 2007, by comparison, the number of breast lifts in the United States was over 125,000....

The procedure is performed in women, mostly between the ages of 35 and 60.

 

A recent national survey of plastic surgeons found that on average, a breast lift costs approximately $4,250 for the surgeon’s fees. Anesthesia and facility fees can add an additional one to two thousand dollars to the overall cost.
