Given the technical requirements of mastopexy, it is possible for asymmetry to persist after the procedure. Also, it is essentially impossible to completely hide all of the scars that will form on the suture lines. If you are prone to keloid formation (raised scars) you should discuss this with your physician in advance of the mastopexy.
